Perinton winter parking ban: no street parking 2 to 7 am

Ongoing service

This affects the Town of Perinton.

What this means

From November 1 through April 1, no parking on town streets from 2 to 7 am. If your car is towed, call Public Works at 585-223-5115.

From November 1 through April 1, no one can park on a public street in Perinton between 2 and 7 am, so crews can plow and de-ice. Cars left out can be ticketed, towed or both; if yours is towed, call Public Works at 585-223-5115. When a snowstorm is on and plows are coming, the town also asks you to keep cars off the street at any hour. The rule is Chapter 194-7 of the Town Code.

The town plows 460 lane miles of town, county and state roads in Perinton; Interstate 490 is not one of them. In winter the Highway Department patrols local roads around the clock.

In the village, the village's own ban runs 3 to 7 am (Village of Fairport, NY winter parking ban and snow rules). Neither government says whether the town's 2 am start also applies on village streets, so moving your car by 2 am covers both.
