Village of Fairport · Fall 2026

A Saturday morning in the village

Market at 8, then coffee, books and the canal: an easy Saturday morning in the Village of Fairport.

Get to the farmers market early, then go on to coffee, a bookshop or two, and the canal. The market runs every Saturday through November 21.

Start at the market

The village-run Fairport Farmers Market sets up in the Village Landing parking lot, off South Main Street by the canal, every Saturday from 8 am to noon. This fall that means October 10, 17, 24 and 31, and the season ends on Saturday, November 21.

Leave the dog at home: the village asks that pets stay home on market days. The market page has the latest.

Coffee

  • Junction361, 24 North Main Street: Saturdays 7 am to 4 pm, with gluten-free baked goods and flatbreads.

  • Clementine Coffee, Box Factory building, 6 North Main Street: Saturdays 8 am to 3 pm; the kitchen closes at 2:30.

  • FairPour Coffee Roasters, The Cannery, 25 Parce Avenue: 8 am to 4 pm daily.

  • Alter Ego Eatery, 146 North Main Street: a gluten-free bakery and cafe, Saturdays 9 am to 3 pm.

Books and a bit of history

The Fairport Public Library, 1 Fairport Village Landing, is open Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. In the same Landing, the volunteer-run Fairport Corner Bookstore sells used and collectible books for the Friends of the Fairport Library (Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm).

Another Chapter Bookstore, 7 West Church Street, has new books for adults and children, and Lucky Penny Books & Gifts in Packett's Landing pairs books with handmade gifts. Both are open Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm.

The Fairport Museum, run by the Perinton Historical Society at 18 Perrin Street, opens Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm, March through mid-December.

End at the canal

The Main Street lift bridge, assembled in 1914 and rebuilt from 2019 to 2021, is the village's landmark. Kennelley Park and its gazebo, on the water, are open to everyone. Moonlight Creamery, on West Avenue by the canal with a view of the bridge, opens at 11 am on Saturdays.

If you want to see boats, come before Wednesday, October 14: the canal closes to navigation at 6 pm that day.

Parking

The village has six free lots with more than 900 spaces, mostly a 4 to 12 minute walk from the shops.
