# New sidewalk planned on Turk Hill Road

Turk Hill Road is getting about 4,600 feet of new and replaced sidewalk, from Summit Street in the village to the Perinton Community Center and Town Hall, with construction expected in 2027. The Town Board funded the project and authorized construction bids on September 9, 2026; nothing has been built yet.

The plan includes a pedestrian bridge over a tributary to Thomas Creek. The $1,300,000 budget (Capital Project 44) combines $307,000 in committed Monroe County sidewalk funding, $105,810 already set aside for engineering and $887,190 from the town's Sidewalk Reserve. The Sidewalk Reserve transfer is subject to a 30-day permissive referendum. Bid results and construction dates haven't been posted.
