# Village sewer charge and sewer work

Village properties pay a sanitary sewer rent, charged by the parcel. The last amount the village posted was $175 a parcel, in its 2022-2023 budget; this year's rent and sewer work schedule aren't posted. For sewer cleaning and camera work on your street, the village Department of Public Works is at 585-223-9500.

The village has kept a separate sewer fund since its 2019-20 budget, to maintain and gradually replace its sewer mains. When contractors clean and camera-inspect the mains on your street, keep your toilet lids closed: the high-pressure flushing can occasionally push water back up through old or poorly vented plumbing.
