# Perinton sets new terms for volunteer boards

Perinton has set fixed terms for members of five town volunteer boards: three years on the Conservation Board, Board of Ethics, Recreation and Parks Advisory Board and Sustainability Advisory Board, and five years on the Planning Board. The Town Board adopted the change, Local Law No. 6 of 2026, 5-0 on Monday, September 21, after a public hearing the same night. The town says fixed terms keep appointments consistent and help it recruit and keep volunteers.

The town hasn't said how the change affects members already serving.
