Outside the Village of Fairport, Perinton has no town trash pickup: you hire
one of six private haulers the town permits, and that hauler also takes your
recycling, usually on the same day. Town crews still collect yard debris and
  leaves.

# Perinton trash and recycling: choose a private hauler

Outside the Village of Fairport, the Town of Perinton doesn't collect household trash. You choose and pay a private hauler, and the town permits six to collect here. Some serve only parts of town, so ask whether a company covers your street.

## The six haulers

- B&N: (315) 597-1100
- Casella: (585) 254-7081
- Dependable Disposal: (585) 505-1500
- Suburban Disposal: (585) 352-3900
- Seyrek: (585) 720-0978
- Waste Management: (585) 254-3500

## Recycling

Your hauler takes recycling too, on the same day as your trash, though some haulers pick up recycling every other week. Haulers supply the bins or toters. Recycling isn't paid through town taxes. What goes in the bin follows Monroe County's mixed recycling rules, so paper and containers go in together.

## No hauler

You can take trash and recycling yourself to the Residential Drop-Off Center at High Acres Landfill. Recycling there is free, and Perinton residents pay a discounted rate for trash. You need a vehicle landfill sticker from the Town Clerk's Office at Perinton Town Hall; the drop-off center is at (585) 421-6214.

## What the town still picks up

Town crews collect yard debris every week on your street's collection day, listed street by street on the town's [collection schedule](https://perinton.gov/departments/public-works/highway/residential-refuse-yard-debris-recycling-program/refuse-collection-schedule/), and run a vacuum leaf pickup in the fall. In a week with a town holiday, yard debris runs a day late; your hauler's holiday schedule may differ.

Inside the village, the village collects trash itself and Waste Management takes recycling ([Village of Fairport, NY trash and recycling days](village-refuse-recycling-routing.md)).
