# Perinton asks about shared-use trails near Thayer Hill

Perinton is asking residents whether shared-use trails belong on town-owned land near Thayer Hill and the Dewitt property off Turk Hill Road. Nothing is planned yet: the town wants community input before it makes any planning decisions.

The idea comes from the town's 2019 Parks & Open Space Master Plan. The town presented it on May 7, 2026, and the recording is on YouTube, linked from the [shared-use trails page](https://perinton.gov/departments/randp/parks-department/parks/shared-use-trails/) along with a map of both properties. The town hasn't posted a deadline or a form for comments.
