# Portals to Our Past stop 11: Railroad District

Stop 11 on the brochure map is on North Main Street at the rail line, near Lift Bridge Lane and Railroad Street. Official histories date the railroad's arrival in Fairport to 1853; today the train-viewing platform is nearby on Liftbridge Lane East.
